A headless rebuild for a storefront carrying a heavy ad budget.

A consumer electronics brand needed a Shopify storefront that could carry a heavy paid-acquisition budget without buckling on mobile. We rebuilt it on Hydrogen.

The challenge

Ad spend was outrunning the storefront

The brand was scaling paid acquisition faster than its Shopify theme could keep up with. Landing pages built for campaign-specific bundles were assembled from a dozen stacked apps, and load time on mobile, where most of the traffic landed, was costing them conversions at the exact moment spend was climbing.

They needed a storefront that could hold a six-figure monthly ad budget without the marginal cost of every new campaign compounding page weight.

Our approach

Rebuilding around the campaign, not the theme

We moved the storefront to Hydrogen with a component library built specifically around campaign landing pages, swappable hero, bundle, and social-proof blocks the growth team could assemble without a deploy.

One engineer owned the migration end to end, working directly with the growth team so new campaign pages could ship the same week they were briefed, not the following sprint.

The build

What shipped

The rebuilt storefront runs on Hydrogen and Vercel Edge, with a headless CMS driving campaign-specific page composition. Image delivery moved to an edge-optimized pipeline, bringing the largest contentful paint on mobile down substantially.
